This is my story.
I don't know how it ends.
What I do know is that it's not over.

About Me:
I'm just your friendly neighborhood strongcreature...
I am a strength athlete and coach currently training and competing as a member of USS (US Strongman) and Strongman Corp.
In addition to strength sports, I am a newly minted competitive Air Guitarist. In the 2023 season I competed in the Kansas City Regional Qualifier where I tied for 4th place. In addition to the regional qualifier, I earned a Dark Horse Contestant spot and competed at the 2023 US National Dark Horse Qualifying Round in Denver, Colorado.
I'm not your typical strength athlete. I'm over 40, I don't have a powerlifting background, and the majority of my weightlifting experience is in support of my first love: dance!
That's right, this strongcreature has a storied past as a dancer, choreographer, and martial artist. It gives me a unique perspective to how I develop strength programming as I enjoy the newest chapter in my athletic development.
MyHeavyMettle is a space where I can inspire other amateur athletes over 40 to pick up the proverbial torch and join me on the march to glory, regardless of their background.
Strength and honor, friends. Strength and honor.
